Kenya, the commercial gateway for East and Central Africa, is set to host the first ever Gambero Rosso Top Italian Wine Road Show in the region.

The event slated for January 30th at the Shamba Cafe in Loresho, Niarobi is intent on showcasing about 150 varieties of premium Italian wine from 36 producers to the trade community such as importers and wholesalers in the country, especially noting that only a few Italian wines are popularly known and understood locally.

Gambero Rosso is the most important multimedia brand in Italian food and wine, and the leading authority on Italian wines globally. As part of the festivities, guests will be treated to two wine master classes by leading Italian wine expert Marco Sabellico. He will be assisted by Kenyan sommelier Victoria Mulu-Munywoki in an exclusive and intimate experience of Italian wine culture in the country.

Additionally, the best Italian restaurants according to Gambero Rosso’s Top Italian Restaurants Around the World, Digital Guide, covering restaurants, pizzerias and wine shops will be honoured in celebration of the best of Italian cuisine in Kenya where the Italian way of life finds its best expression.
