Limuru Country Club’s David Ndung’u Elected as Kenya Golf Union Chairman

Nairobi, Kenya 24th May 2024– The Kenya Golf Union (KGU) put in place newly elected leadership team for the 2024/2025 term during the elections held at Muthaiga Golf Club.

Limuru Country Club’s David Ndung’u was elected unopposed as the new chairman together with his deputy Chris Kinuthia of Thika Sports Club.

Vetlab’s Brian Akun beat Golf Park’s Frank Wambua by 55 to 39 votes to be elected as the new Secretary General.

Mombasa Sports Club’s James Gitonga got 75 votes, Ruiru Sports Club’s Peter Mwaura (73), Railway’s Jonathan Marucha (70), Muthaiga’s Robert Ngugi (62), Sigona’s Weldon Mutai (49) and Karen Country Club’s Liban Robert (49) to be elected as national executive committee members.

Kiambu Golf Club’s Davis Mukuria, Kevin Muchiri (Limuru Country Club), Ndiga Kithae (Thika Greens Golf Resort Club), Robert Ngugi (Muthaiga Golf Club), Sammy Itemere (Royal Nairobi Golf Club) and Taufiq Balala of Nyali Golf Club lost in the contest for national executive committee contest.
