State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito could find himself in trouble with State House operatives after some of his allies were reportedly spotted at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s private residence in Wamunyoro.
While the purpose of the meeting remains unclear, sources suggest the delegation had Ole Metito’s full backing, given his past working relationship with Gachagua.
This development comes just three weeks after hundreds of Kajiado residents visited Gachagua at his Wamunyoro home, which has increasingly become a hub for opposition-aligned leaders.
The revelations could deal a blow to President William Ruto, who is working to consolidate his support base and counter Gachagua’s growing influence. Gachagua has been holding meetings with various leaders from Kajiado, fueling speculation about his political strategy ahead of 2027.
Meanwhile, in Kajiado, Ole Metito continues to position himself as Ruto’s preferred candidate. However, he faces growing competition from other political heavyweights, including former governor David Nkedianye, Tarayia Ole Kores, Peris Tobiko, and Kanar Ole Seki.
