11 sued the Director General and Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Urban Roads Authority Silas Kinoti who has been battling various audit queries.

The suit filed at the High Court in Nairobi is seeking to help recover property allegedly stolen and amassed by the DG courtesy of his position in officer

The petitioners Stephen Kiiria and John Karuu have also included the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Assets Recovery Agency and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations as interested parties.

The petitioners have sued the DG over what they term as overwhelming illegalities including nepotism, tribalism and irregular award of tenders.

They want the court to bar him from occupying office for gross violation of the constitution and consequently have him sent on forced leave to pave way for independent investigations.

They also want the Asset Recovery Agency to execute its mandate by recovering all the properties the DG has acquired in the period he has been in the office.
