President William Ruto has reappointed former judge of the East African Court of Justice Charles Nyachae as the Chairperson of the Kenya School of Government for a three-year term.

Through a Gazette notice published on Friday, Nyachae would continue serving in office effective immediately.

Nyachae, who also served as Chairperson of the Constitution Implementation Commission, was initially appointed as KSG chair on January 24, 2024, and served his term until July 12, 2025.

Nyachae recently made headlines when he was shortlisted for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson position. The role was ultimately given to Erastus Ethekon.

In the same gazette notice, President Ruto also appointed Abdi Mude Ibrahim, former Lafey MP (2017–2022), as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors at the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute for a three-year term.

Ali Noor Ismail, former Cooperatives Principal Secretary, will also serve as the Chair of the Pest Control Products Board for three years.

Ismail served under the Jubilee administration, initially as Labour PS before his appointment to the Cooperatives docket in 2015.
