Nairobi, 29th February 2021 – Naivas, the leading retailer in the greater Eastern Africa region, has marked its return to the legacy highway, Thika Road, with the grand opening of its 103rd outlet, the second one this year. This latest addition follows closely on the heels of the retailer’s 102nd branch inauguration at Mwanzi Market along Mwanzi Road in Westlands just a month ago.

The new branch at Survey along Thika Road brings the total count of Naivas outlets in the greater Thika Road region to 12, encompassing all store formats operated by the retailer. Situated within a strategic mixed-use development, the outlet complements various businesses, including a popular multinational fast-food chain and a petrol station, catering to diverse customer needs.

We are proud to pioneer the expansion of supermarkets beyond the 100-branch mark in the country, our founders, the Mukuha family, laid strong foundations, and strategic partnerships, like with IBL consortium, with its 190 years of successful global family business, have further bolstered our growth.

remarked Andreas von Paleske, Chief of Operations at Naivas

With a commitment to providing a world-class shopping experience, Naivas ensures its outlets stand shoulder to shoulder with global brands while offering authentic Kenyan hospitality.

Our mission is to save customers money, especially during challenging economic times, we have exciting offers in store for Survey customers, both during the opening and in the future.

affirmed Peter Mukuha, Chief of Operations at Naivas

Looking ahead, Naivas plans to continue its expansion with upcoming outlets in Lang’ata and Buruburu, further solidifying its position as a leading retail giant in the region.
