Gor Mahia secure leading sports ticketing firm Big Brother for mashemeji derby ticketing and gate management services
Football Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia has secured the services of leading sports ticketing company Big Brother to sell tickets for the much anticipated Mashemeji derby pitting the 20 time Kenyan champions Gor Mahia against arch rivals AFC Leopards set to be played on Sunday, 21st April, 2024 at Nyayo National Stadium.
Gor Mahia settled on the professional ticketing and events firm Big Brother for their ticketing of the match following the firm’s success in distributing tickets for matches involving the national team Harambee stars and Harambee Starlets as well as other professional tournaments including rugby and other high caliber matches.
According to Big Brother Limited director Alfred Afimbi, ticketing for the high stakes match has been planned to be conducted professionally and in time to avoid any inconveniences to the fans expected to throng the Nyayo National Stadium, Sunday.
“We have set designated areas where we shall be selling the tickets at Kenya Cinema, Tom Mboya statue next to the National Archives, City Stadium, Riadha House, and Nyayo Stadium opposite the Police Post Gate. The ticket will go for Ksh 1000 for VIP seats and Ksh 300 for regular seats,” Afimbi said.
“The tickets will be sold from 7:00 am in the morning and sale of tickets will be closed in the afternoon. Gates close at 2:30 pm and we at Big Brother have enlisted the service of enough personnel so by the time the gates closed, we assure all Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards fans planning to come for the match that we shall have completed the sale of tickets by then,” Afimbi added.
Afimbi said that Big Brother has put in place all mechanisms to ensure a swift and timely sale of tickets. The tickets, Afimbi said have unique security features to avoid any cases of forgery and by the time gates close for the match, ticketing will be complete.
The match shall be beamed live on Azam Sport 3HD and FKF will make arrangements to provide match highlights after the match.
The match will also be live on KBC Radio Taifa, Mayienga FM, Ingo FM, Minto FM, Ngemi FM, KBC English Service, and Pwani FM.
According to FKF, Gor Mahia fans watching the match from the VIP stand are advised to access the stadium trough the VIP Gate A while those with regular tickets will use Gates 2 and 3.
AFC Leopards fans who wish to access the VIP stand, on their part, are advised to do so via VIP Gate B while those with regular tickets shall do so via Gates 8 and 10.
Gor Mahia fans will have their seats on the left side of the stadium from the VIP while AFC Leopards fans will use the left side from the VIP area.
