Amb Bitok Opens First Civil Registration Office In Moiben Township In Historic Event
Interior Principal Secretary Amb Julius Bitok today officially launched a civil registration office in Moiben Township,Uasin Gishu County.
The launched that was highly anticipated by the locals saw residents come from far and wide to witness the historic event.
The area MP, Prof. Phyllis Bartoo welcomed Amb Bitok and congratulated him on making government services accessible to locals all over the country.
In his opening speech Amb Bitok said,”My goal is to bring government services to the local mwananchi.I urge the residents to take advantage of the office and get registered for birth and death certificates.”
He added,”Civil registration offices are vital for the administration and development of Kenya. They provide essential legal documents fundamental for an individual’s identity, access to services, and participation in the socio-economic activities.”
Currently, Kenya has established 170 civil registration offices nationwide.
The Kenya Kwanza government plans to expand this network to all 290 sub-counties, ensuring that every Kenyan has convenient access to vital government services.
This expansion aligns with H.E. William Ruto’s Bottom-Up model which focuses on decentralizing services and bringing them closer to Kenyans.
